April 19, with the guidance of Isaiah Friedman, our youth engagement coordinator, and the assistance of parents and volunteers, youth celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut. The children learned by exploring five unique stations, each with an activity representing a city or region in Israel: Jerusalem – writing notes to place in the Kotel; Tzfat – creating their own hamsa from air-dry clay; Tel Aviv – enjoying Israeli dancing; and the Negev – learning about and acting like desert animals. They each had a mini-passport that was stamped at each station.
Thank you to our volunteers who helped kids experience a slice of Israeli culture this Yom Ha’atzmaut!

Our members with school-aged children and younger have many opportunities to come together as a community to enjoy the wonders of being Jewish! There are social, educational and cultural programs specifically for our young families as well as general Temple programming that also appeals to young families. Many of our programs and events are open to all, regardless of Temple membership status.
TORAH TIME is held shabbat and yom tov mornings and is specifically designed for our youngest children and their parent or other adult. Torah Time usually meets at 10:30 AM. Mini-minyan meets at the same time and is led by teens, under the guidance of our Youth Education Coordinator.
