Rabbi Hershel Matt 20th Yahrzeit Commemoration
On December 23, the Temple held a program to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the yahrzeit of Rabbi Hershel Matt.
Rabbi Matt was a valued member of our community and of the Conservative movement as a whole.
Speakers at the event were Rabbi Arnold Eisen, chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and Rabbi Matt's son, Kabbalah scholar Daniel Matt.

Upcoming AJA Speaker Quoted
Rabbi Elie Kaunfer, who will be speaking at our Temple on May 19, 2008, is quoted in this article from the New York Times, titled "Challenging Tradition, Young Jews Worship on Their Terms".
Rabbi Kaunfer's topic for his lecture at the Temple will be "A Window into Jews in their 20s and 30s".
