Film Series

Adopted by Ethiopian Jews living in Israel, Sisai has grown into a 23-year-old soccer-playing charmer. But when his biological father is located in Ethiopia, he and his adoptive brother decide to revisit the country that long ago had been their home.

The touching journey that ensues is documented in "Sisai," which will screen on Saturday January 17th at 8:00 P.M. at the Temple.

The continuation of our Jewish Film Series is an excellent way to demonstrate the vibrancy and resilience of our synagogue. It helps us maintain a community presence and attract new members, even as we go through the rebuilding process.

That said, it takes money to pay for speakers and screening rights, plus the modest amount of advertising we run.  You can help make it possible for us to maintain this program by sponsoring the series.
